The CCE Mentorship Program invites early-career post-production professionals to apply for a unique hands-on editing workshop \u2014 an opportunity to work with real television footage and receive direct feedback from an experienced unscripted editor.

The workshop unfolds over a few stages:
\n\n\nSaturday, November 14th (8am ET)<\/strong> – Footage Release\nParticipants will receive a project file and raw footage from a scene of a real docu-series. You will edit the material independently, using your own instincts and creative judgment.\n
\n\nTuesday, November 17th (9pm ET)<\/strong> – Cuts Due\nParticipants will upload a quicktime of their edited scene to a portal provided by the CCE.
\n\n\nSunday, November 22nd<\/strong> (times TBD) – Mentor Sessions\nParticipants join small breakout groups of four to five people, each hosted by an experienced unscripted editor. Over a two-hour session, mentors will review participants\u2019 edited versions, offer feedback, and facilitate group discussion in order to share insights on the craft, and the realities of working in unscripted television.

This workshop is aimed at post-production professionals who are looking to grow their skills in unscripted editing. You do not need to have unscripted experience to apply \u2014 applicants from all genres are welcome. To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
\n\n\n\u2022 CCE Membership<\/strong>: Must be an Associate or Full Member of the CCE for at least one year prior to applying.
\n\n\n\u2022 Work Experience<\/strong>: Must have a minimum of one year of professional post-production experience at an Assistant Editor or Editor level.* Experience in any genre qualifies, including scripted, unscripted, animation, commercials, corporate, news, sports, or music videos.
\n\n\n\u2022 Professional context<\/strong>: All qualifying experience must be professional. Student projects do not count toward the one-year requirement.
