Originally hired in the summer of 2014 by CCE co-founders Paul Winestock & Paul Day to help out with some emails and the website, Ali quickly found her natural skillset and passion perfectly complemented the CCE. Today, as Operations Manager, Ali keeps the organization humming day to day. From arranging infrastructure to support the CCE’s multitude of online and in-person events, to managing relationships with the CCE’s sponsors, and liaising with members throughout the year, there’s not much that Ali doesn’t do.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Born in Perth and raised in Brisbane, Australia, Ali’s passion for organizing and strong interpersonal skills made her a gifted educator; she received her degree at Queensland’s University of Technology before heading off to teach Kindergarten and Grade 1 in London, UK in early 2001. Teaching during the week and exploring Europe during her time off, Ali had many adventures that could make for some very entertaining movies, not the least of which was meeting her future husband Jon, a Canadian and aspiring editor.<\/p>

L\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, ils d\u00e9m\u00e9nageaient au Canada o\u00f9 Ali a continu\u00e9 d\u2019enseigner \u00e0 Scarborough et elle a rencontr\u00e9 d\u2019autres monteurs et monteuses en accompagnant son \u00e9poux lors d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements mondains du milieu du cin\u00e9ma. Apr\u00e8s quelques ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es en Australie de 2005 \u00e0 2010, lors desquelles Ali et Jon ont accueilli en ce monde deux enfants en moins de deux ans, ils ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 oublier \u00e0 quel point il peut faire froid au Canada et ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de revenir s\u2019y installer.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After welcoming their third child in 2013, Ali was already the Chair of the Parent Council at her children\u2019s school in the Beach, nurturing a burgeoning arts & crafts business, a website, a custom lego parts service, a cake decorating hobby, as well as her husband\u2019s freelancing business and being a full-time Mom to 3 energetic kids – but was (somehow) still looking for a new challenge that she could fold into working from home. Cue the CCE!<\/p>

Over the last eleven years, Ali has taken immense pride in watching the CCE membership grow to over 600 members across Canada and internationally, and has enjoyed working passionately with many volunteer board and committee members over the years. She loves to socialize with CCE members and friends, who deeply value her work as Operations Manager. The CCE is lucky to have her, and luckily for us, she can’t think of anywhere else she\u2019d rather be.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
