Step One: Read Through the Requirements

Submission Application:

To submit your work for consideration for the CCE Awards, please complete the form below. All categories are open to submissions from CCE Members and Non-Members.

The deadline for all submissions is 5pm ET on February 23, 2021.

Please ensure that your submission conforms to the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Work must have been released/aired between Jan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020
  2. Only productions/episodes that have not been submitted for consideration in previous years are eligible.
  3. All entrants must have received an on-screen credit in the category in which they are entered

NOTE: A maximum of three (3) entries per entrant per year is permitted. Additional entries will not be considered.

The submission fee is $50 per submission (maximum 3 submissions). Please pay the fee by visiting the payment page first, and then take note of your Paypal transaction number.

Entries must be submitted in only one category. If an entry is submitted in multiple categories, the CCE Awards Committee will select in which category it will be submitted based on content. View the category guide.

In cases where multiple editors are credited, one editor should be considered the submitting editor and other editors may be listed as additional entrants. List the submitting editor first. In the case of a win, the main editor will receive the physical award, and additional editors listed will have the option to purchase more. 

Note that editing teams larger than 4 people may have their entry listed as "The Editing Team from…" in order to conserve space on trophies, in the program, etc.

What time in the program do the editing credit(s) appear?

In rare cases where the screening copy does not include credits, a letter from the production company must be provided in order to verify the credits. Please email this letter to info@ccedtors.ca with the subject line "CCE Awards - Production Letter - [your show]"

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

  1. The Entrant warrants that the production is eligible in accordance with the CCE Awards Rules, as contained herein. In any case in which the CCE determines that the information required to be provided by the Entrant is inaccurate or incomplete, and the production is therefore incorrectly entered, the CCE reserves the right to declare the production ineligible to be submitted for nominations for any CCE Award.
  2. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the CCE may, in its sole discretion, determine that no Awards be given in any category in which the productions entered do not meet CCE standards.
  3. The Entrant agrees that the CCE Awards Committee, subject to the approval of the CCE Board, will rule on any dispute in matters relating to the entry, eligibility, nominations, appeals and/or election of any production for an Award. The Entrant acknowledges that the CCE Board’s decision shall be final.
  4. The Entrant acknowledges that the CCE Awards Committee reserves the right to amend or modify the rules contained herein at their discretion, subject to the approval of the CCE Board, or at the sole discretion of the CCE Board.
  5. The Entrant and all individuals submitted for consideration herein release the CCE and its officers, directors, Awards Committee members and Awards Jury members, employees, representatives and agents from all liability for any reason whatsoever (including, without limitation, for any incidental and consequential damages) in respect of the Entry and its consideration for any Award, including, without limitation, for any negligence or omission in the processing of the Entry or in its consideration for an Award, however caused.

You must use an upload service that allows streaming over the web (e.g. Vimeo, Wistia, FrameIO, etc.). Samples that require paid subscriptions to access (e.g. Netflix) will not be accepted.
