Lesley Mackay Hunter, CCE is a Toronto based, award winning feature film and television editor who has worked almost exclusively in animation — a medium that she loves! She has been fortunate enough to work on many international hit shows including JOHNNY TEST, TOTAL DRAMARAMA, BIG BLUE, THE NUT JOB 2 , ARCTIC DOGS, SAUSAGE PARTY- FOODTOPIA and NIMONA. Known for her comedic and musical timing, she is honoured that the CCE trusts an editor who works with bullfrogs, burps and bubble gum!
Stephen Philipson, CCE, ACE, is an award-winning editor whose credits include RAISED BY WOLVES from Ridley Scott, HANNIBAL from Bryan Fuller, and indie favourites THE WILD HUNT, voted Best Canadian First Feature at the Toronto International Film Festival, and GROWN UP MOVIE STAR, prize-winner at Sundance. Never one to turn down an adventure, he once travelled to Sri Lanka to edit an epic Action/Romance about the Sri Lankan civil war (in Tamil and Singhalese) for a director who contacted him randomly over the internet. Stephen is thrilled to rejoin the board and contribute what he can to our great organization.
Gina Binetti is a Toronto based editor with over twenty years’ experience, mostly working in documentaries and non-scripted television. Gina co-produced and edited the documentary SHATTERED DREAMS for Global which had a successful film festival run and received the NFB Kathleen Shannon Award. She also edited the Gemini nominated documentary EMBRACING DA KINK, which won the Golden Sheaf Award. For many years Gina taught young adults in underserved areas of Toronto to create short films with the Shoot With This Film Mentorship Program. Working across a variety of genres, from socially conscious documentaries to children’s shows, she finds the narrative in a wide range of subjects. Programs Gina has edited have aired on CBC, PBS, Netflix, City TV, TVO, BBC, Discovery, Home and Food Networks, Love Nature and History. She has recently been enjoying cutting scripted films after many years of working in documentaries.
Graham Fortin is a film and editor hailing from Vancouver, BC. Graham enjoys working in dark rooms with close collaborators. He has an odd recollection of release dates and movie trivia. His recent credits include THE MONKEY, LONGLEGS, the documentary ARI’S THEME and THE EDGE OF SLEEP. Upcoming projects include KEEPER.
Alejandro Tello is a picture and animation editor who has worked in the industry for over seven years. He has been involved in a variety of projects ranging from animated shows for kids such as CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG, to short documentaries like KAR (a recipient of the 2019 Air Canada Short Film Award) to assisting in scripted shows like the YA drama series BEYOND BLACK BEAUTY. In recent years, Alejandro has taken an active role on the CCE EditCon committee to celebrate Canadian film editors.
Wes Paster is an editor that resides in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Six years ago he moved there with his family from Los Angeles thinking he could survive off of remote work. That’s worked out pretty well. He usually cuts reality shows. Emmy-Nominated four times for EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION, he has worked on many reality shows from THE BACHELOR to SALVAGE KINGS.
Craig Macintosh is a Toronto based film and television editor with over 12 years experience across New Zealand, England and Canada. His work spans documentaries such as THE BEATLES, MADE ON MERSEYSIDE, SPEED IS MY NEED, and THE TREASURE HUNTER, as well as unscripted and documentary television, including shows for Paramount Plus, BBC Four, ITV, Comedy Central and the History channel. With writing, audio mixing, and motion graphics credits, Craig has a broad skillset that allows him to creatively contribute in a holistic way to bring great stories to life.
Vanessa Seecharran is a Vancouver based film and television editor with over 15 years of experience working on animated series and feature films. With a solid grasp of the animation workflow and narrative pacing, Vanessa brings her expertise and creative flair to help bring animated projects to life for audiences of all ages.
Award-winning editor and filmmaker from Montreal, Annie Leclair has enjoyed international success with her directorial debut film GROUNDED. A self-taught documentary film editor for TV and Cinema for the last 18 years, Annie is known for her musicality and sensitive approach to storytelling. In 2024, Annie is nominated at the CCE Awards for the documentary GREYLAND and has completed her second documentary film, CALMER WATERS.
Andrew Cromey is a Toronto based editor focusing on documentary editing but has started to work more in scripted projects. His most recent editorial works include INFILTRATE (2024), MAKING MANSON (2024), GOLD BARS: WHO THE F**K IS UNCLE LUDWIG (2024) , MR.DRESSUP: THE MAGIC OF MAKE BELIEVE (2023), TAKE MY HAND TO HEAVEN (2023) and SHOOK (2019). Andrew has been a part of the CCE of 5 years now and is excited to continue working with a great team on the board and staff.
Nathalie Massaroni is a Winnipeg-based editor and post production supervisor of more than 400 hours of television. Since graduating from the University of Winnipeg’s film program, she has edited features and series including WINTERTIDE, ALTER BOYS, SEEKING FIRE, and ABERDEEN (which premiered at TIFF 2024). Nathalie has also edited other short form series and films such as D DOT H, TAILOR MADE, and I HURT MYSELF. If she’s not working on a computer, you can find Nathalie at the dance studio or sipping coffee with a cat on her lap
Xi Feng is a film editor based in Montreal. Having lived in China, Canada, and France, she has cultivated a unique blend of cultural and artistic sensitivity. Feng has worked as an editor on award winning films including CETTE MAISON, CAITI BLUES and most recently UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, which won the inaugural Audience Award at the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and is Canada’s 2025 submission for the Oscars. Her filmography includes films premiered at major festivals such as Berlinale, Cannes, Sundance, TIFF, Vision du Réel, HotDocs, etc.
