Coffee with an Editor is a series of friendly one-on-one interviews with editors from Canada and around the world.

Cam is a film editor currently based out of Toronto. He is a CSA and DGC nominated editor.

His work includes Astron 6’s “The Void” which opened Fantastic Fest in Austin, Max Minghella’s directorial debut, “Teen Spirit” premiering at TIFF, Lone Scherfig’s, “Kindness of Strangers” which opened the Berlinale Film Festival, and most recently, Albert Shin’s “Clifton Hill” which premiered at TIFF. Cam also spent his earlier career working with Guillermo Del Toro as an assistant/associate editor and editor on “Pacific Rim,” “Crimson Peak,” “The Strain” and “The Shape of Water.”

He is currently cutting Guillermo Del Toro’s follow up to Shape of Water, “Nightmare Alley.”

Episode 004 - Lisa Binkley, CCE

Coffee with an Editor is a series of friendly one-on-one interviews with editors from Canada and around the world.

Lisa Binkley has edited various feature films, MOWs and television series which include “Travelers”, “The L Word”, “Zombies 2” and “Motive”.

She recently completed work on the Netflix series “Firefly Lane”, which stars Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke. Lisa has had the opportunity to work with such directors as Marleen Gorris (Academy Award Winner – “Antonia”), Moises Kaufman (“The Laramie Project”), Helen Shaver (“Vikings”), Lynne Stopkewich (“Kissed”), and Kimberly Peirce (“Boys Don’t Cry”).

Lisa is a full member of IATSE 891, ACFC West and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In 2008 she was inducted as a full member into the Canadian Cinema Editors.

Episode 002 - Carole Larsen

Coffee with an Editor is a series of friendly one-on-one interviews with editors from Canada and around the world.

Carole specializes in editing long form documentaries.

Recent projects include She Walks with Apes for CBC The Nature of Things, The Third Dive for CBC POV, Equator: A New World View for Discovery/Arte, and the factual series Coldwater Cowboys for Discovery.

She has a keen interest in natural history and has cut many films focusing on animals and the environment (Manufacturing the Wild, Meet the CoyWolf, Puffin Patrol, Carpe Diem, Raccoon Nation and others).

Carole has edited award-winning documentary series (Spaceship Earth, The National Parks Project, Things That Move) and short films (Ghost Bike, Record, Sea in the Blood), music videos and narrative features.

Her work has been featured by broadcasters and film festivals across Canada and around the world.

Coffee with an Editor – Paul Day

Episode 001 - Paul Day, CCE

Coffee with an Editor is a series of friendly one-on-one interviews with editors from Canada and around the world.

Paul Day, CCE graduated from film school in 1991 and started working on set in many areas, including art department, lighting and gripping.

Pursuing his passion for being an editor in 1994, he has worked on series produced for Netflix, AMC, MGM, Paramount, Showtime, and Disney, to name a few.

Credits include Spinning Out, V-Wars, Dark Matter, Into the Badlands, Hemlock Grove, Rookie Blue, Lost Girl, Dead Like Me, Odyssey 5, and The 4400.

Paul also directed episodes of Dark Matter and webisodes for Lost Girl.

One of the co-founders of the Canadian Cinema Editors, Paul continues to pursue expanding the industry profile of editors and elevating the importance of their craft.
