In 2025, the event held in Montreal focused on a discussion about reality TV, moderated by Justin Lachance, CCE. Reality TV has been on our screens for over 30 years with shows like THE REAL WORLD, THE AMAZING RACE, or SURVIVOR. It is watched by millions of people every day, fuels meme culture, and taps into the universal guilty pleasure of gossip. Unlike traditional television, the story isn’t written by screenwriters, but by a team of people, including the editor. These editors work tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver the perfect balance between action and character development, not to mention pacing and musical choices.
